Belakangan, orang-orang mulai mengenal dan ramai memperbincangkan Gus Baha. Kesederhanaan dan kealiman beliau banyak mengundang decak kagum banyak orang. Tak kurang Prof. Quraish Shihab pun juga memujinya. Menurutnya, tak banyak orang yang paham betul isi Al-Quran, berikut hukum-hukum fiqihnya secara mendetail seperti Gus Baha’. Bahkan Ustadz Adi Hidayat menjuluki beliau sebagai Al-Quran Berjalan.
KH. Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim atau lebih dikenal dengan Gus Baha adalah putra Kiai Nur Salim, pengasuh pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an di Kragan, Narukan, Rembang. Bapak beliau adalah murid dari Kiai Arwani Kudus dan Kiai Abdullah Salam, Kajen, Pati. Nasabnya bersambung kepada para ulama besar.
Beliau mempunyai ciri khas mengajarkan ber-Islam dengan optismis dan bergembira. Pada saat mengajar khususnya kitab Tafsir Jalalain, beliau menerangkan dari berbagai sisi, baik tata bahasa, ushul fiqih, tarikh, hukum fiqih, sisi tasawuf hakikat dan tak lupa hikmah dari ayat tersebut.
Ini adalah salah satu Al-Qur’an yang ditashih langsung oleh Gus Baha’.
